A pop-up outlook ice skating rink has opened outside of the Neshaminy Mall.

The rink in Bensalem Township opened in mid-December and will remain in operation through February 26.

A portion of the mall parking lot has been transformed into a winter wonderland for people of all ages by firm Flight On Ice. The rink is situated at 707 Neshaminy Mall, just outside the AMC Theater and the former Sears Automotive Center.

The full-size recreational outdoor ice skating rink has skate rentals, on-site parking, holiday-themed decorations and music, food and drink for sale, heated hospitality tents, lounge areas, entertainment, and a filled events calendar. Additionally, the skating rink keeps later hours for the holidays and will host a “Noon Year’s Eve” skate party on December 31.

“Working with great partners at the Neshaminy Mall has made it possible to bring our ice skating rink experience to Bucks County this season,” said Jon Schaffer, president of Flight Entertainment. “We are thrilled to bring a new family-friendly concept to the Neshaminy Mall and hope to make this a staple attraction in the community for years to come, all while helping out a great cause that is near and dear to our hearts.”

“Building a safe environment for outdoor ice skating is expensive and not an easy task,” said Dennis Deehan, general manager of the Neshaminy Mall. “This project took months of hard work and planning from all parties involved to finally bring it to fruition, but we are super excited to have this winter attraction here in Bucks County for our community to enjoy”.

Through January 2nd, for peak holiday hours, single general admission skate tickets are $12, with skate rentals costing $10, in addition to taxes and fees. Tickets cost $10 and $8 for all other times.

Although tickets and rentals are offered at the box office, Flight On Ice advises booking your sessions in advance online at

To avoid paying rental fees, participants are advised to bring their own skates and the venue offers skate sharpening services.

A portion of the proceeds from the rink support the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 5 Survivors Fund.

Flight on Ice also operates rinks in Delaware County, Lancaster County, and two in New Jersey.
